Aboriginal Children from the Top End

Happy Aboriginal children from the very top of Australian's Northern Territory. These are Burrara and Ndjébbana kids from Maningrida and Nunggubuyu kids from Numbulwar, two communities on coastal mainland Arnhem Land and the islands around there: Anindilyakwa children from Groote Eylandt and Yolngu children from Elcho Island and Milingimbi, speaking the related clan languages of Gupapuyngu and Djambarrpuyngu.

To the north of Darwin are the Tiwi islands and here are Tiwi speaking kids from Bathurst Island, a former Catholic mission where traditional culture is also still celebrated. Childhood is a happy time in the tropical far north of Australia.
