King Tomislav Square

Trg kralja Tomislava, King Tomislav Square, opposite the main Railway Station of Zagreb, with its statue by sculptor Robert Frangeš Mihanović of King Tomislav, the first King of Croatia. He became Duke of Croatia in c. 910, was elevated to kingship by 925 and reigned until 928. In the background, the Art Pavilion, the imposing 19th-century museum hosting major art exhibitions, drawing on all movements and periods.
