Orkhon aimag

Orkhon province, named after Orkhon River, is located in the north of the country and consists of the area just around its capital of Erdenet, a mining town and the second largest city of Mongolia. Its new flag is blue with at the hoist an ornamental frame, enclosing “three jewels”, Buddhist symbols, and a three-tongued flame, representing the past, present and future at the top.
