Yangon Division

Yangon Region, formerly Rangoon and Yangon Division, is the area around Myanmar's former capital and largest cit, the most developed region and international gateway. It has an area of 10,170 km² and a population of over 5.5 million. Its flag is blue with a red star, surrounded by a laurel wreath and under it, on a white scroll, the regions name, “Yangoun tain”, in Burmese script.
