The flag of the island of Saibai, just south of the coast of Papua New Guinea, is dark blue with a green triangle at the hoist on which is placed a yellow leaf, symbol of peace. The green colour symbolises the land, blue is the sea while the white eight-pointed star signifies Australia. The flag was designed by the local council members.
