Previous Aboriginal Dance in the Northern Territory
A "Purlapa" traditional dance at night at the edge of the Tanami Desert. The dancers are decorated with "wamurlu", a chopped vegetable down coloured with red ochre and glued on the body. The headdress is built up on the head, topped with emu feathers.
