Previous Aboriginal rock art from Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory
The "Blue Paintings", near Nourlangie Rock, thus called because "Reckitts Blue", an agent to clean clothes, was used as well as traditional ochres. They are of fairly recent origin and depict Spirit figures and a Barramundi in the so-called "X-ray style" that shows the internal organs of the animals.
