At the Croc Festival on Thursday Island, students from Thursday Island High School show a strong performance of traditional dancing from Boigu, in the Top Western Torres Strait Islands; Close to the Papua New Guinea coast, there are strong links with the culture of that country. The "Maumata" war dance features bows and arrows, unknown on mainland Australia.
