Previous Argyle Region of Western Australia
This Boab or Baobab tree, near Kununurra is typical of the northern part of Western Australia and also occurs in southern Africa and Madagascar. These trees store water in their trunk and the hard fruits are sometimes carved by Aboriginal people.
