Previous The Bungle Bungles of Western Australia
This Boab or Baobab tree, between Warnum (Turkey Creek) and Kununurra is typical of the northern part of Western Australia and also occurs in southern Africa and Madagascar. According to Aboriginal legend, the tree misbehaved and was therefore stuck in the ground upside-down, with its roots in the air.
