This car was deposited high in a tree near Fitzroy Crossing when the Fitzroy river in the north of Western Australia flooded in 1968. It is hard to imagine the water can rise this high as it is normally bone dry here. But during the wet season, floods of the Fitzroy river can be sudden and severe.
