View over the bazaar area in the old city of Gjirokastra (Gjirokastër) from the 13th-century citadel, with its mosques and characteristic Balkan-Ottoman houses. At left is the domed Bektashi Teqe (a tekke, ritual building for the Bektashi Sufi dervish order). Behind it is the Pazar mosque (Xhamia e Pazarit).
