Xhamia e Muradies

Xhamia e Muradies, the Muradie Mosque, originally a Byzantine Church, probably built between the 11th and 13th Century. It was made into a mosque in 1537, after the Ottoman conquest on the orders of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and a minaret was added; the work is attributed to Albanian born Sinan Pasha, one of the greatest Ottoman architects.
