New South Wales, 1867

In 1865 it was proclaimed that all colonial vessels should “wear the Blue or Red Ensign with the seal or badge of the colony in the fly” and in 1867 the first flag of New South Wales was adopted, a British Blue Ensign with the letters “NSW” in white.
