Lounge Car, Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre

An AF class Trans Australian 51-foot Lounge Car in the Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre in Peterborough. It entered service in 1923 and fitted with two compartments, initially for men and women, but later smoking and non-smoking. A piano was introduced in the 1920s and air conditioning in 1936.
