Malukazil, a Torres Strait Islander dance group from Erub (Darnley Island) performs a traditional “play dance”, accompanied by singing and drumming, at the Sound Shell in Cairns during celebrations commemorating Mabo Day. They are then joined by two boys from the Djarragun Dancers and perform a “play dance” called Sabem nakwe.
