Along the Malecón, Havana

U.S. Embassy building

The American Embassy building on the Malecón in Vedado, which housed the United States Interests Section in Havana between 1977 and 2015, while operating under the auspices of the Swiss Embassy. The flagpoles that were placed there, flew revolutionary flags, but taken down as relations improved. The building resumed its role as the U.S. Embassy in Cuba on 20 July 2015.
