Frescoes, Church of Christ Antiphonitis

Interior of the Church of Christ Antiphonitis with its remaining frescoes. It was constructed in the twelfth century near the village of Kalograia (now renamed Bahçeli), in the mountains, 6 kilometres south-east of Esentepe (Agios Amvrosios) and initially belonged to a Greek Orthodox monastery. The building has eight pillars and is roofed with a spacious dome. The church is the only surviving example of this type in Cyprus.
