Canbulat Bastion, Famagusta

The Canbulat Müzesi, a museum in the eastern corner of the Famagusta walls, in the Canbulat Bastion, called Arsenal by the Venetians and named after Canbulat, who was the Bey (provincial governor) of Kilis in Turkey in the 16th century. The bastion containing his tomb was opened as a museum in 1968 and has recently been refurbished, reopening in 2008.
