Osman Fazıl Polat Paşa mosque

The Osman Fazıl Polat Paşa Cami, a mosque along Ismet Inönü Bulvari on the northern edge of Gazimağusa (Famagusta). It is named after Osman Fazıl Polat (1922-1980), a Turkish general who wast he 28th Division Commander from 1973 to 1975, during the invasion of Cyprus by Turkish troops, resulting in the partition of the island.
