Gyeonggi Province (previous)

Gyeonggi Province (previous)

Gyeonggi Province's previous flag features stylised representations of the first three consonants in the Korean word Gyeonggi-do, reflecting the peace and liberty of the region's people; the full name of the province is below it. The red and orange circle it forms symbolises the origin of the universe and also signifies that Gyeonggi is the centre of Korea in every aspect of our lives, including politics, economy, culture, and history. The blue colour symbolises the eternal development and growth of Gyeonggi. It is at the head of the global and local movement and is the heart of the 21st century's unified Korea. The white ground symbolises the fact that the people are descendants of their noble Korean ancestors.
