The south west coast of Jeju island, Jeju Province

Replica of the Sperwer

A replica of the Sperwer, a Dutch ship that was wrecked here in August 1653. It has been named “Hamel” here in honour of the sailor who eventually escaped Korea and wrote the first account of the country for the western world.
