The doors, Hwangudan

The doors at Hwangudan, the altar where the emperor performed sacrifices to Heaven. These, with the octagonal building and the stone drums are all that remains when in 1913, during the Japanese Colonial Period, the Japanese Government-General dismantled Hwangudan, to build the Joseon Gyeongsong Railroad Hotel, now the Westin Chosun Hotel, behind it.
