Seodaemun Prison building

Prison building with “Gyeokbyeokjang” (exercise facility) at the Seodaemun Prison,that was used to intern Korean patriots during the Japanese occupation. Here they were tortured and executed. The Seodaemun Prison History Hall opened in November 1998 in Seodaemun Independence Park to commemorate the patriots who sacrificed their lives in the fight for Korean independence during the Japanese occupation.
