Phallic rock

A 60 centimetre long stone penis, about 2 kilometres south east of Erdene Zuu Monastery, assumed to have been placed by a senior monk to stop other monks fraternising with local women. It has silk “khadag”, ceremonial silk scarves tied around it when a wish has been made: it has become a place of pilgrimage for local people wishing to have children.
