Praying at the ovoo

A man and his young son prays in front of a large ovoo, a type of shamanistic cairn made from rocks, adorned with silk “khadag”, ceremonial silk scarves placed as offerings on the summit of Shireet Ulaan Uul above Tövkhön Khiid Monastery. Only men are allowed here.
