Around the island of Niue

Nukai Peniamina's grave

The grave of Nukai Peniamina, a Niuean who brought Christianity to Niue in 1846, ending a cycle of reciprocal wars. He had been converted to Christianity by the London Missionary Society in Samoa. His grave is on the island's western coast, about 4.5 kilometres north of Alofi.
