Under the stern eyes of the Ali'i, the High Chief, young men do their energetic slap dance, called Faataupati - a routine probably developed from slapping mosquitoes on the body during a warm night. These are the boys of Suluvale Samoa Culture and Performing Arts, based near Cairns, Australia, keeping Samoan culture alive, away from their country.
