The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1970

Princesses and regiments

The “bantfwabenkosi”, young daughters of the King, dressed in their “indlamu” short bead skirts, dance in front of the “emabutfo”, the warrior regiments in the “sibaya”, the Royal cattle byre, on iNcwala main day. The King is second from right, in his “Balondolozi” regiment.
