The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1974-75

Guest at iNcwala

Chief Kaiser Mantanzima of the Transkei, then a semi-independent “Homeland” in South Africa, is a guest at the iNcwala at the Royal Kraal of Lozitha. Swazi historian James Matsebula explains matters, wearing full iNcwala dress with the “siketja”, a cloak of horse tails.
