Sangoma and iNyanga - traditional healers of Swaziland

Sangoma ceremony

A “kuphotfulwa” ceremony in Mhlosheni, northern Swaziland, in which “tangoma”, traditional healers, are graduating from their “infwasa”, their training. A goat is placed on their back, its throat slashed and the blood drunk as it gushes out.
