The monument to Cuban greats on Plaza de la Patria, featuring Manuel de Céspedes, Antonio Maceo, Máximo Gomez, Perucho Figueredo and, on the right, Fidel Castro: it is the only monument he appears on in Cuba. The quote by Fidel reads “We are in a land full of history. How could the history of Cuba be written without the history of Granma?”
