The main cemetery chapel located in the centre of the cemetery and the towering 23 metre-high monument to the firefighters who lost their lives in the great fire of 17 May 1890 in the Necrópolis Cristóbal Colón, a cemetery and national monument, one of the largest in the Americas, renowned for its striking religious iconography and elaborate marble statues.
