Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste

Cristo Rei of Dili

Cristo Rei of Dili, the statue of Christ, unveiled by Soeharto in 1988, is 27 metres high, symbolising the 27 provinces of Indonesia, including East Timor at that time. It stands on the summit of Cape Fatucama, at the eastern end of the bay, about 8 kilometres from Dili.
