Celing, Selimiye Camii

The beautifully decorated walls and ceiling of the Selimiye Mosque, built by architect Mimar Sinan between 1569 and 1575. This Ottoman imperial mosque was commissioned by Sultan Selim II and It was considered by Sinan to be his masterpiece. It is one of the highest achievements of Islamic architecture.
